History

I started mathematics tutoring when I was in secondary school in the UK to help my fellow students. After finishing my A-levels in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics (equivalent to graduating high school), I went to study mathematics at the University of Warwick. At Warwick, I found my passion for both mathematics and philosophy, and had the opportunity to supervise first-year MMath (undergraduate degree in Master of Mathematics) students for the following subjects:

•  abstract algebra, linear algebra, real analysis, differential equations.

I then moved to the Netherlands to pursue a master's degree in Logic at the University of Amsterdam. Logic is an interdisciplinary subject that combines mathematics, philosophy, computer science, and linguistics. I was awarded the prestigious Beth Scholarship to study and complete my master's, which supported my tuition fees and living expenses. At Amsterdam, I grew stronger as a mathematician and a philosopher, leading me to pursue a PhD in the US.

Studying for PhD in Philosophy at the University of California, Irvine, meant that I could pursue my interests in both subjects, mathematics and philosophy. At Irvine, I assisted in many undergraduate-level courses in 

• critical thinking, introduction to logic, symbolic logic, puzzles and paradoxes, phenomenology, epistemology, philosophy of mind.

I also lecturered at Mount Allison University, NB Canada, designing and delivering my own course in 

• Introductory Logic (second year course in Philosophy).

Settling in Victoria, I wanted to continue my teaching to support students who are struggling. I started collaborating with St. Michaels University School to offer individual tutoring. I work closely with the students' teachers and SMUS learning resources team to ensure that the students' needs are met. Gradually, I was approached by students and parents at other schools for tutoring services in SD61 area. 

I currently teach at Philosophy Department of the University of Victoria.
